With a strong community foundation and a member-centred approach, they support people to live independently, stay connected, and participate fully in society.
Primarily supporting people who are legally blind and living independently across metropolitan and regional South Australia, Beyond Blindness works closely with volunteers and community partners to address gaps where mainstream services may not fully meet everyday needs.
Their work is guided by a clear purpose: to support independence, dignity, and quality of life. Beyond Blindness believes that vision loss should never be a barrier to connection, opportunity, or inclusion, and advocates strongly for people who are blind or vision impaired to be heard, respected, and represented in decisions that affect their lives.
